Home...Sort of~
« on: July 16, 2015, 01:58:08 AM »
Well, the deal for a new house went south and broadhead launch has eaten pretty much any down money I had stashed away for something more.  So moving day with the sheep mount was a little sad.  Instead of going into my living room it goes into storage for now. :(

We have a puppy in the final weeks or months of her life.  So I don't want to upset her with a bunch of remodeling of the current house right now.  Once she is gone then I'll make the changes necessary for the Dall to come live in the castle.

Just an FYI - I was 6'01" before the last back surgery.  Gives an idea of how tall that mount is.  We have vaulted ceilings now so height fits perfectly.  Buzzy just worried about kids and it tipping over so the base is what sort of messed us up.  He was likely right.  Especially if this goes to shows in the future as hoped.

Needed to remodel anyway!

That's my big girl "Upland Skagit, aka Skagit" in my avatar.  Taken at the girls (both) retirement party.  That was a good day!

Best nose I've ever seen on a Springer.  Flushes pheasant and quail, but points chucker = flippin' awesome!  Nerve sheath tumor put an end to her hunting life a few years too early.  But she does still put fear into bunnies at the park every couple days!

Oh yeah, almost forgot thinking about the puppy...

We did find room for the double peace sign bull!  Nice to have him home.

Sorry to hear about the pup Rad.  Those are some good looking mounts, it sucks having to put one in storage.  I've been through that, I need a bigger shop so I have more wall space :chuckle: :chuckle:
