Going to go hit a shoreline in southern Hood Canal this evening.  Would be better in a boat but, still no motor.  Wish us luck

Total for the day. 11 pinks, 14 Dungeness crabs. A great day on the sound.

Getting the smoker fired-up for yesterday's pinks.  Some cracked black pepper on a few pieces.

Nicely done.  We got our two man limit and banged out the crab in one pull.

Cmon humpy gods, favor us with one more slamming weekend for our visitors next weekend.

Was a fun morning on the water, morning ride out was like glass.
Tried a new area for crab and after dropping pots we fished from there, hit the first fish after about 2 minutes of putting gear down (kinda funny as i put gear down my fishing partner turned on the satellite radio and just then wham fish on and he goes "ok they like CHEAP TRICK this morning" made me bust up laughing). :chuckle:

Boated a few, lost a few then tuned in to a good school and stuck with them, 2 limits in 2hrs
Pulled pots after a 2.5hr soak, one pot the crabs got the bait box open  :bash:, but between the other pots we managed 8 dungies and 3 rocks....

Come on next weekend, i hopes it is just as hot for S4S, which i think it will be..
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

I think you guys will have another great weekend next weekend for Salmon for Soldiers. I can't make it unfortunately. Should be a great time.

Ahah! So that was Andrew on the rod for his first salmon hook up. Now, the boy, for his first salmon (other than some kokes) hook up.

Yeah...and them for the tropy pics. Good fun and we only fished for 2 hours. 2 missed strikes, two long line releases, and 4 in the net. All I did was clear the rod and net the fish. They did the battling.

How deep water were you fishing and what depth?  I tried for some silvers but could only scratch up a million pinks.  I did get the first triple on my current boat though and the third rod was a lead rod with a fish flash.  Smoker is going today and the canner was working OT yesterday.

Not much for pinks (1) around Reef Pt, Cypress Is this morning, released four short kings and had a keeper king break off at the boat.   :(

Coho have been hitting from zero feet down (skipping a fly just outside the boat wake) to 40’ in the early morning.
