Whatever happened to Muzzynbow?
They are some great people, usually camp near Gooseberry flats August-November.
They usually got a fairly good handle on where the elk are, especially after spending 90 days every year there.

I ate that tag 13 years ago back before I knew what I was doing and back when I mistakenly hunted elk like Whitetail.  Good luck to you I really enjoy that country.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.

There are elk all over the place in that unit...I live in it. If you get yourself in an area where you can see some country first thing on the morning and last thing at night you might be able to figure out where they are bedding down. I hunt muzzy and it can be tough depending on the weather. I've never struck out hunting water where there isn't much and keeping an eye on hard to reach areas from afar and then planning an ambush once they are found. I know it sounds simple because it is. It just takes a lot of patience.

I agreed with almost all you said, except the water thing...  :dunno:   I must have just hunted the right areas. No shortage of water in area.
