Entiat Bear may be safe (3 to 5 years)
« on: July 27, 2015, 10:31:05 AM »
The Entiat Ranger District has closed the most productive bear and mule deer hunting in the Entiat Valley; affects GMU 244 and 246. The Ranger reacted to the Duncan fire of last summer by closing the road and trail leading to the Glacier Peak Wilderness.  The closure is reportedly for 3 to 5 years while the forest recovers.  Ranger's concern is that there might be a debris flow or flash flood following a thunderstorm.  Warning signs are more than adequate

Group at Entiat is working to get the valley reopened.  Their online survey is at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/access-entiat
consider signing to show a concern about the closure.

She has her own agenda for the valley. Close all the roads, let the bugs kill everything, watch it burn and then complain about access to fight the fires.
