Your options are immense. Contact one of the local game wardens. Great tag to have, just follow the bugles!

Buddy has a spike tag.

Call the bio
Knock on doors
Prepare to be refused access
Call the bio

Do that tag justice and smoke a good one.  It's definitely no gimme

I know the guy who pulled the archery tag last yr, and he went down a few weeks before season and talk to a few of the locals in the area. They took him up scouting to a ridge top on there own quad, showed him the area and helped him pack it out. no joke. bring some beer down and make a few phone calls our knock on some doors to the locals not saying youll get the same response  he did but it worked for him. He shot a 350 bull because of the local knowledge.

Is your friend a forester who shot the bull?

Wish I was having that kinda of hospitality with my east side tag. All I'm getting is hunt the water holes and hunt high. Crying done!!!!! I live close by the area and if you get a big bull down and if I am around and need packers give a shout!!!!!If you are hunting in skagit I have a river lot just outside of concrete on the south skagit hwy  you may be able to use for a base camp.
