Perry's No Peep
« on: August 14, 2015, 05:53:16 PM »
Curious to see if anyone has tried the Perry' No Peep sight?

I like the idea of it and in speaking with Perry this afternoon on the phone he claims that they can set me up for right hand draw even though I'm strongly left eye dominant. It'd be great to be able to shoot without squinting or forcing my left eye closed.

Any opinions are appreciated as I may be buying soon.

Yes. Works fine as long as I close my left eye.

I have been shooting right handed, no peep, using left eye for years. Using your left eye with a right hand bow gives you a nice open field of view.

Thanks for the replies on shooting cross dominant, but I am specifically looking for reviews on this product:

I have not used this.  I have used a different type of "no peep" that I liked.  However, I am not sure this will help your cross eye thing as it looks like it would still have to be seen by your brain with your right eye as your left eye being dominant will look across the sight line of the nopeep pin and be just as bad as not having it there.   :dunno: It may have enough lateral play to move sideways enough to line up with your left eye and the sight pin.  It seems like you would need to have one in hand or on your bow to know for sure though and since this seems to be a newer item, you might have to bite the bullet and be the HuntWa guinea pig.   :chuckle:

This cross dominant thing is a pain as even though I do not have it, I have had to work with my ex who did as well as my son.  For my son, he is young enough that we have been shooting both lefty and righty so he will be comfortable going back and forth with a gun, and have shot a bit lefty with a bow.

I went to the Perry web page (listed above) and asked a question via the contact page.  I had no more then hit submit and Perry calls me at the number I left.
Very knowledgeable and happy to answer any question you might have.  Have a problem with set up and he will help walk you through it.

I hate dealing with peep sights as my eyes get older.

Seriously considering this system.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

Want to hear from someone who has used one of these.
I'm left dominate, and right vision going bad
Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.
