hard cast bullets

I bought some bullets at the Yakima gun show,They are from squaw saddle munitions very nice couple.They are .44 cal (.329 od. hand gun) bullets.I asked if they were hard cast they said yes,Have any of you bought these type of bullets from them before and have any feedback?They were very cheap by the way. $45. for 500.

no replies lol must have been a boring post lol.Anyways I loaded them ,I( shot them they worked very well.No leading really to speak of,pretty clean shooting.

I would say, they are not hardcast. I have bought some loaded hardcast 10mm ammo and it wasn't cheap..

Hard cast typically has quite a bit of tin wich is not cheap but hard cast is simpleton a matter of opinion unless they state it's Lino type or a hardness number.  If they work for you then shoot'em

Old wheel weights make great bullets. I pour my own buckshot with it... Or at least I did until Midway had a sweet sale on it...  You can still find lead tin weights on Semi truck wheels and wheel weights from other states. Just had a buddy order 50lbs of melted wheel weights in one of those USPS $10 if it fits it ships boxes for making his own hard cast bullets. Ive never used it for pistol stuff but it works great in the shotty.

I think it would depend on hardness.How hard does hard cast need to be?My reading shows 11 on hardness scale is good for bullets not to hard but hard enough. 1 to 10 tin/lead.$10 10 pounds of lead $7. 1 pound of tin.  11 pounds yields (theoretically)77000 grain. (200) grain bullets.thats 384 bullets for $17.Thats .044 per bullet.mine costed $45 for 500 thats .09 per bullet.they seem to be doubling their money at it.

As long as it's not pure lead it is plenty hard enough.
