Helping people rebuild what? and use our own money? thats what insurance is for! Most of whats burning in ferry is far away from homes..its burning vast mountain areas right now.
Never mind, if you don't already see it then it would take to long to explain it to you

NO need to explain..weird mentality. I am not hunting this year cause I feel bad for others..hell you could feel bad for others everyday of you life!
I guess your not seeing the big picture that I am seeing hunt. But your right.....they all have insurance so they should be fine, no need to worry about or lend a helping hand.

I'm still confused...how does a person going hunting make him a bad neighbor or selfish person in general. The fire is terrible.....so are tornadoes......AND there is absolutely nothing any of us can do about that. If we sit home and feel concerned for somebody..... does that make us better? I'm confused on how cancelling my hunting plans impacts this fire or anyone near it. If you called me and asked for my help and I declined due to hunting obligations....now you have a beef. Do you know HuntNW? Did you ask for his assistance and he declined?

Gotcha...and funny:) I'm personally staying out of the woods for now for fear I might start a fire inadvertently.

I'm hunting deer on private land far from any fire. And I luckily have maybe he only elk tag in the state that won't be affected by fire danger.

This season will just be one to remember...negatively mostly.  Reminds us all to be thankful for summer rains in the future.

Like talking on the cell phone at the gas station...it's only a matter of time  :chuckle:

Catalytic converter is one that I have seen happen.  Of course don't park on tall dead grass and you're fine  :P

Like Johnathon stated....a parked car could easily start a fire if parked in the wrong place. I saw a car start a fire on I-90 just outside of Spokane last week. The guy was dragging something he was unaware of and sparked 4 or 5 small fires on the shoulder and he never even knew it happened.

One of the fires started this year was a guy on a lawn mower, Or a fire could start from Target practice getting ready for the season during this dry time of year.

Couple of years ago a person thought it was OK to burn trash in a barrel near Springdale.

I am almost afraid to pass gas.  :chuckle:  Not sure if Fart would make it by the filter's.

True, common sense does fall short of many. I guess only seeing it from the way I conduct myself and the things I do while in the forest it is hard to imagine a scenario in which I inadvertently caused a fire. Glad people are seeing this danger and are aware of the possibilities.
Just tend your own and live.
