Had some slick heads and some fawns coming in this morning until a coyote thought it would be a good day to try for a fawn about 10 minutes from legal light.
There is something just indescribably painful about being stuck behind a prius on the interstate.

Brother passed on a broadside doe at 60 yards. Not worth the risk.

Good judgment call.  That's a tough shot with her being alert

Awesome!  Hope you let the air out of him.  I'd have buck fever with him close to me.

I would have fallen out of the tree shaking so bad. Hopefully he comes around this evening for ya. I can't wait to see him on the ground.

I get the shivers just thinking about that buck.  Really hope you get him on the ground soon!

5:07 am I looked to my left in the moonlight and thought that looks like a deer standing there. Grab binos first thing I see is the forked g2.. Was a long 25 min hoping he would be around when it was light enough ! I had a iffy shot at 14 yards I had a hole thru some pine limbs about 6" looked good thru sight but worried arrow wouldn't of cleared limb.. I opted to wait and he walked off thru the trees offering no shot!

I tagged my first deer at 0845 atabout 25 yards.  Hit one lung and the heart she ran about 40 ft before going head over hooves.  I cant seem to get the picture to load.

Heading over in the middle of the night and hunting the next 3 days. New baby just arrived last Friday evening, so I have to pick my spots. I watch them year round, so I expect to have something down.

My 13 year old daughter shot her first archery deer at 8:38am yesterday.  I will be posting the story on another thread tonight, super proud of her. Posted the pick on the other 2015 thread.

Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
