Rubs
« on: September 08, 2015, 10:58:33 AM »
I just got back from a scouting and can not believe the number of rubs I saw.
1st one, I thought cool...
Then I just got tired of seeing them.
I am talking scouting, looking for sign...
Everywhere I went, more rubs...
I quit paying attention to them.
I did not do any calling, but did meet one idiot just blowing a bugle every 5 minutes as he hiked logging roads.  :bash:
But really, I saw a lot of rubs.

Those guys crack me up.  They bust out the loudest locator bugles in the world...at 2 p.m. when it is 80 degrees and they are in the middle of a field  :o

STIKNSTRINGBOW, I have been seeing some good aggressive rubs this year too.  Maybe you're seeing more 'cause you're covering more ground later in the month because of the late start this year  :dunno:
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Can't wait to see you Friday.

Sometimes people don't know any better with when to bugle, hopefully you explained it to the guy.

I'm seeing new and old rubs at one primary elevation.  Interesting...been 1000' down the mtn and 1500' up the mtn.  Saw some at the top, but definitely a lot in the middle.
