I usually delete my posts after two days.

I've never claimed to be a house painter or a mechanic...it always amazes me how many people want to claim to be a lawyer.

I think the CVA 209 ignition rifles use a different hammer, and are not able to use a musket easily, I could be wrong though.

Call, muzzle-loaders.com in LeGrande Oregon. They were really good to work with when I bought mine a few months ago. Great customer service and might give you a better deal if you mention Hunting-Washington.co to them. They did for me.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

To make the 209 version NW legal you can just swap out the breech plug with a NW legal replacement BP sold by CVA. But it may not function correctly without a few upgraded parts. I believe the NW legal Optimas also have upgraded firing pin assemblies and stronger hammer springs. You may be able to contact CVA for the parts or send in the rifle to get it upgraded. Talking with Muzzle-Loaders.com as Campmeat suggested is also a good idea. They are very helpful.

If thats the optima pro, the old version, its not compatible with the newer optimas finger removable breech plug.

Very true.  I was thinking the V2 not the pro.  If the Optima the OP is talking about doesn't already have the QRBP then everything I said above won't apply.
