Has anyone done any reload experimenting with 270WSM, shooting a Barnes TSX 130gr. or 140gr.?

I have loaded the Barnes TSX in both 130 and 140.  I used imr4350 at the low end all the way up to maximum charge (stretched the case) and that bullet will not pattern out of my gun.  I shoot a Tikka T3.  I bought the Winchesters loaded with accubonds and shoot 1/2" groups @100.  I have an expensive digital scale and I weigh all of my loads separate when I work up a load so I don't think that's it.  My gun just hates those bullets.

We tried the barnes but could;nt get our guns to shoot them. We have went to accubounds for deer and elk and they have worked really well and shoot good groups. I could;nt find anything in my messages. You can get on noslers website and get ballistics and reloading information.

I had really good luck with Magpro and a 140 TSX in my son's Model 70 270 wsm.  In our case it was 69.7 gr.
Good Luck! YMMV

I just got back from the range after shooting my tikka t3 270wsm.  5 shots with 130gr Berger VLD, 5 shots with 130gr Barnes MRX, and 5 shots with factory 140gr Winchester Accubonds.  The 130gr Berger VLD's are flat out awesome.  5 shot group @ 100 is .5 inch.  The Barnes bullets suck ass, 2.5 inch group @100.  The factory Accubonds shot .7 @ 100.  The powder in my hand loads is IMR 4350.  Hope this helps GigPig

Yes everything helps, Thanks.  I also am having a hell of a time grouping the Barnes TSX 130gr.  Best groupings have come with H1000, but seems to bite a little harder :dunno:  Crappy when factory ammo groups better than handloads  :bash:
