Anybody else with dead legs?
« on: September 13, 2015, 02:12:18 PM »
Nothing like opening weekend. I put in about 20 miles and a couple thousand verticall feet these last two days, some of it straight up through ferns and brush and crap. And I'm coming back for four days next weekend  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Downhill usually gets me more than uphill, but it does get easier and less painful  :'(

Downhill just hurts. It may not be as much work but the knees, feet, and ankles get killed.

Yes, I do. Got a call at 8:30 this morning from my cousin who had just put an arrow into a bull and wanted some help. Steep arse Siouxon unit kicked our butts, but we are both home now and he has his first archery kill.

Nice bull! I had to spend some time hauling my dad's cow out, it's painful back in that steep and thick stuff.

I thought mine would be worse off after about 25 miles in 3 days but i was fine.  I guess all my early backpacking paid off.

between friday night and sunday afternoon I logged 28.5 miles and 6,500' elevation gain on my rino 650. Feels like i have daggers in each of my calves.  :yike:
Every thought of my being is in regards to being a high tech predator and I relish the role.
