Blind options
« on: September 15, 2015, 03:04:16 PM »
Are there any brands to stay away from? Looking to get a little 2-3 man blind. Any features that are desirable that I should look for? I don't watch TV so I am not up to date with the latest and greatest that the hunting shoes tell me i should get. Thanks for your help

I don't like the idea of shooting through screens so my next one will have magnetic screen attachments (I saw these once but can't remember the blind.

If you are hunting three people in it, other than two adults and a smaller kid, get a really big blind as two adults crowd a blind pretty well.  Try some out if you can with the number of people and gear you are thinking. I have a cheap Ameristep that works fine.

I have a dbl bull dark horse that I like a lot. It wasn't cheap but has held up great over the 5 years I've had it. Very durable. I have veen present while 8-10 deer were shot with bows through the window screens with no affect what so ever. It is a nonissue Imo. I take the screen down if using he blind for rifle hunting. And reccomend ear plugs for rifle hunting from it.

I will also say that 2 guys is about it for hunting from a blind. Then at that only one can be really set up to take a shot. They just aren't super big.

The ameristep bone collector man cave is the biggest production blind currently it is 90 in wide and 84 in tall. If your looking for comfortable standing bow shots and elbow room for multiple people I'd check it out.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

Will be just me in it. And a kid or two when possible. I was eyeballing the ameristeps at Walmart $50-80. Probably the 3 man.  Just need something on the cheaper side now. And get a nice big one next year. How are blinds on scent control?

my buddy has a Barronett Grounder 350.  We've had 4 guys in it (one time), still room to shoot, but it was tight.  3 is no problem.
