Missed on the first day and screwed up about everything possible for more opportunity but connected on 2nd morning on the biggest cow in the bunch was no bulls with them. Feels good to have meat in t he freezer after 4 yrs off of elk hunting. 20 yds died in the field. Only had 1 and half days to hunt so happy I got it done.

Was not easy work but easier then many I have taken. Got the truck stuck in the field unloaded quad and got the tractor. While they were pulling truck out I finished gutting and drug the elk out with the quad. Got the quad stuck as well. Anyways good to be back on it. I don't post much here but many of you know me off another forum. I wish luck to everyone this year and now maybe I get another tuna trip in.

Good job and very happy, you showed a great tool helping you, an ATV..

I bet the ATV would have gotten it done if you pulled her out by her chin.   Take the rope and tie a loop in the end barely big enough to get your fist through it, slip that on her nose then run the tail behind her ears then back through the loop on the other side of the head and you've got a halter.  Turn it so the rope is on the bottom side of her chin.

Pulls amazingly easy that way, plus the hair is laying the right way  :chuckle:

Congratulations on your success
