Garmin GPS Depth Finder
« on: January 13, 2009, 08:47:15 PM »
Got the Garmin GPS/Depth Finder with my Thunderjet, but I never did get to getting the downloadable chart maps, anyone recommend a good source for areas along the coast and of course becoming my favorite river the "Columbia"?  Didn't think I would neeed them, but boy was I wrong, man good charts make a huge difference ibottom structure and other items.... Don't know if any of you are up grading to the 09 maps and want to sell the 06/07/08 versions or trade...  Hoyt and Huntnphool what charts are you utilizing?

I use the Garmin blue charts as well.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

I'm not sure what unit you have but the best chip is the navionics gold.  Right now if you buy one you can get a free fish-n-chip by mail and it has the most contour detail out of all of them.  The blue charts I have just show depths with no bottom contour.  Just FYI.
