Head up the 1201 before it takes off on the 1202 and maybe you might run into them?  All I saw that was fresh this year was a pee spot.  If someone were to set up a trail cam I'm betting that results would come back positive if you could leave it up there for a week or so?

I have had to elk bugling while wolves howl and I have had them get quiet until the wolves move along.  Generally wolves are moving quite a bit and the elk seem to act fairly normal once they quiet down.  I would keep hunting.... Wolves are around because the elk are there

I have listened to elk and wolves in the same canyon at the same time.  And like said above the wolves keep moving the elk stay put untill the wolves find them.  They seemed spoked the day the wolves moved in but most elk stayed put and still sounding off the next day.

Must be elk that aren't used to wolves yet and don't know what they can do. The elk in the NE corner don't bugle much at all these days because the wolves have been around for a while.

these wolves have been around a while.  Just not as long as further north.  So your probably right PA.  They'll learn soon.
