Here's one from last week.  I thought I made a good shot, but didn't hear a 'whack' and only got refocused in time to see some movement going into the brush.  Glassed and glassed to pick up any movement or color, but couldn't see a thing so just watched the scene for awhile.  The does didn't know where to go and were milling around.  Eventually one doe wandered back over to the original spot, and she couldn't take her eyes off the bushes.  Head would bob up and down, but she was glued on that thicket, like, "what's that stinky thing in there"?  I then grabbed my pack and walked down the slope....

I don't know for sure. Had to break him down and pack him out solo. My pack was 109lbs at the house not counting the head.

Probably around 225-240 live if I had to guess. :dunno:

My knees still hurt. Lol

Pretty swollen too.

Was he trying to take a nap on your pack when you shot him?   :chuckle:  He had a gun and a knife too, I'd have shot him as well.
