Saw a pile of kings on the Skok, with nothing taken but hte eggs.  I'm talking thousands of fish.  Probably more than alot of runs on most rivers.

I got my foot hung up in a gillnet walking in the river here.  About everytime I go to a river I see remnants of nets that are left laying around.

Boy they are slobs!
And its a good thing they dont take pictures of our fishing areas. And list all the access's that have been closed due to garbage from sportfishers. They might get more land if they know how some abuse it. Lol

Sad but true, most boat ramps I go to have trash issues, just not in the mass were taking here.

You need a trip to Blue creek boat launch on the Cow.  ;)
And the white plastic hay bail wrappers strewn about on the Nootch.  ;)
I could go on and on about both sides. I fish with both sides.

These native fishing pics are not boat launches. There areas of heavy use, like ours. No different in my opinion.

Although, trash is one thing, ghost nets in rivers keep killing. Everyone loses in this respect. It should be counted, and go against said quota at least.

As far as egg striping, thats what there raised for. To make escapemant for the hatchery, the fish must be rippened, then eggs and sperm harvested. The fish are so ripe by now there no use to anyone. But supply the river with the nutrients required to keep the bio going. Yea, they should strewn them about more, and get em in the water, but thats money and time too. Plus, with everyone against them especially the ignorant ones who post meaningless, knowledgless posts. What better way to say "in your face MF!" Right :dunno:

Get in my face and call me a slob, Ill knock ya down and spit all over ya too.

The more stabs and the more you make em look bad, the more in your face they are going to be.

Thats because the Skok has one of the biggest and most consistant runs of Kings. They have a huge escapment number so the run that comes back supports the 30 some nets and 1000's of Cowboys riping them in by there tails leaving there garbage everywere too.

You might only get back 2% of your smolt output. It takes 100,000 successful smolts to bring back 2000 fish. Its about the same percentage for egg to smolt ratio. And thats almost a pure hatchery run. so you can see. It takes thousands of ded fish to make that run. Or any other run. Also, those plies are from hatcheries mostly. The State and native run and or staff these hatcheries. And many volunteer to strip eggs at hatcheries in the fall. As well, dump carcusses.

These piles are there because everybody wants some...
