Entiat, it's time.....(update, tag filled)
« on: November 05, 2015, 07:56:18 PM »
Well, the wife drew the special permit tag for entiat this year :IBCOOL:

Not my tag but I get the fun of the hunt too

Heading over for the weekend to a little hunting but don't have high hopes, for we will be no
Back next week on Thurs to hunt to Monday  :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL:

Not as much time as I would have like to have to hunt jwith tag but, hey that's life.

Anyone got any info on the stormy creek aere, I plan to check it out this weekend  :dunno:

Been hunting the unit for 10 years now and know it fairly well but plan on looking at different areas this weekend. Spend most my time in Mud and Potatoe creek are as well as Stelico and Crum. Just been a few years since I have been up Crum and hoping the weather hits heard before we head over for the main hunt time, as well as the rut starting. :llam:

Any tips will be appreciated

We will see you up there around those areas. If you see a white f150 Crew cab with a. Toolbox, headache rack and becon lights, that's us. The old man has the tag. We are hoping to seeing some rut action with all of the talk about it! Good luck!

Yeah, the rut should be on, and that doesn't necessarily mean it's early,. They were rutting the first day I began my Entiat hunt back in 2004, and I believe the date was November 5th.

Right, but they were rutting 10 days ago in there, and that's early.

Ok, so day one is in the books.

Hunted mud creek this morning, seen over 50 deer. Several small bucks with does, you know, spike and small 2 points

Only seen 2 buck showing an interest in a doe,  butt, and one was a big point, not big enough to shoot but but he was good size.

Seen another 4x5 looking for does but he was not what we are looking to fill the tag with. During general season, or the last day yes. He was about 18" wide and about the same in height but no mass.

Spent the evening up Potatoe creek and only seen 5 does, so now we are relaxing at a B&B.
