Coweeman, Winston, or Margaret???

Jammed up and hunted weyco land this morning. Hiked a couple timber patches, found a 3x4 set of elk antlers. No critters though. Been reading that the coweeman is a hard unit for elk. Should I head further north to the Winston and Margaret? I've never hunted Washington till today and this is my first rifle elk tag, I've always archery hunted. Seems like a whole different game.

It is a different game with a rifle.  Lots people to compete with in all 3 of those units.  If you can get yourself off the road and down in some of those deep hell holes you'll cut out 95%  of the pressure.  It can be physically draining but the elk will go where they need to to survive.  Good luck!
