I found a pretty good pile of them on my lunch break today.

Morels degrade really fast. Don't carry them in plastic and they'[ll have a longer shelf life. In addition, if you use a mesh bag, spore fll out of it and help seed the earth for an increased harvest in the future.

I moved up to Alaska a couple years ago from the Skagit Valley area. I have a relative who has a place down on the Kenai. The last two summers there have been wildfires down there and the morels have been popping this year. These pics were from a couple weeks ago.

Nice. I have a customer who has a place right on the Kenai River and he said they went to the cabin a couple of weeks ago and picked more than 10 right off of the backyard.
