Couldn't wait any longer  :chuckle:. Picked up the .40 cal version. $460 out the door. Ran 2 magazines through it when I got home. Its a little louder than a regular Shield .40 but not by much.  The ports definitely help with muzzle flip .The Hi-Viz sights are alot faster to find than the stock Shield sights. Trigger pull is also alot lower than  stock .Going to be alot nicer carrying this over my 1911's.

Mmmm, very nice!

I just can't decide between the .40 and 9mm.  Sure wish they made this in a 357Sig.
Ya that would be nice but I'm totally happy with the .40

You got a 1 month report on your .40 shield? Did you stipple your grips? I'm in the market for a 9mm. Best price I've found is $436.33 out of state so I'll have to add shipping and FFL charges. You said you paid $460 out the door does that include sales tax? If so where in Yakima did you get it for that? PM me or post either way.

Have only ran about 100 rounds threw it so far and not a hiccup. Yes I did stipple the grips my self ( also did my neighbors ) . I payed $449 before tax but the store was having a 10℅ off sale at the time.

I just can't decide between the .40 and 9mm.  Sure wish they made this in a 357Sig.

Check Storm Lake or KKM for a barrel in .357 SIG. It's a drop in conversion between .40 and .357 SIG.

I went to the gunshow taday in Yakima. I love those crazy know it alls. Told me I don't need a ported barrel the flash at night will blind me. None of the sellers had one or had even had one in inventory yet. Did sell my BSS to the yellow table guy.

Neither of them make a barrel for the shield . They do make one for the M&Pc which is a different animal

Ive heard a lot of good things so far. as for the ports I don't think these will blind you at night. there are 2 (one on either side), 9mm and 40 don't flash all that much and if your in a fight you probly wont even notice. I bought the regular one about 4 months before they released this new one, trust me mine is getting traded in for Performance center one. My big gripe was the trigger, the performance center is about $50 more, to put a new trigger in mine would be around $150. I thinks its a home run except for the fiber optic sights, I would have preferred hi-viz night sights.

I went to Cabelas today in Yakima, the herd was lined up outside the door starting at 8:30. Most everyone went to the gun dept. Lots of Ruger LCP's flying off the shelf. Myself I was told they had 2 S&W Performance shop 9mm Shields in stock. They were gone before I got to the counter, they did however take my name and said next one that comes into the store has my name on it for the sale price. So, I can't complain too much.

I got the call from Cabelas today that the M&P 9mm Performance Center Shield came in today. $486 and change included sales tax out the door. Got it home and tore it down cleaned the packing oil off and reassembled. I think I'm going to like shooting this one. Feels good in the hand, I can get the high viz sites on target, the trigger is crisp and the porting is just cool factor for right now. Now to find an iwb holster and a couple of boxes of PNW TacOps 115gr schp
