OK, I'll play.My guess: A driving tax, where you pay by the mile. In addition to all of the existing gas taxes, because the government just doesn't have enough money.

In addition to all of the existing gas taxes, because the government just doesn't have enough money.According to the "studies" if you drive a truck/SUV 1000 miles a month and get 15 mpg you'll be pocketing almost $8 a month with the mileage tax vs the gas tax. If you get 18-20 (don't recall exact number) you'll break even. They're leaning towards three methods for tracking. 1) Self reporting your mileage. 2) some sort of tracking device 3) paying a flat rate.If you're interested look up the WA Transportation Commission, they have the info there.
