What have you seen about bobcats being forced down to lower areas by deep snow?  Will they just hunker down where they are for a few days if there is a big dump and wait for the snow to get hard so they can travel or are you catching them as they come down because the snow is too deep above?

It's all based on food . I've. Caught cats way up high in 4' + snow they will stay in their core area they just get easier to catch as the winter gets longer they will concentrate in thicker more dense terrain where there's less snow on the ground and more rabbits and rodents I stay up high all year

What do you use to dispatch your cats?, .22 to the melon?

.22 short either right through the ears or if they won't cooperate I will go between the eyes and get it to go down their neck so there's no exit hole the .22 shorts I get are the low velocity I think 720 fps

I have some CBEE .22 LR 740 fps if you want them next time you come.

I bought them for something that didn't work out.
