I just thought that some people on here enjoy seeing mature animal's that were taken by people who put in work to harvest a nice animal. It seem's like if they can't put someone down for the way they hunt then it's the shoe's they're wearing. Like Plat said, maybe he did sell the cape to someone who didn't need the head because they are using it for clothing or a rug to cover a chair or anything else. Then again, wouldn't it be illegal for him to sell part's of the animal? I thought the tribe didn't allow that.

They would probably GIVE you a cape if they remembered you needed it and did not cut the head off below the jaw.

I think most like to see animals that are taken legally and ethically.  From what I saw in both of the FB referenced threads it appeared to me that they were on the up and up and I haven't heard anything otherwise.

I think it unfortunate when animals like these get heaped into the "that is just a tribal kill" and the "they just shoot and kill everything under the sun" stuff.

I wonder if people would be happier with the tribes out during the general season shooting these bulls.  I much prefer less people in the woods so I am happy that they wait until we are done hunting before they head to the woods.

Why is it that egg nog is good for so much longer than milk? I just thought it sounded like someone was bashing cuz he didn't save the cape. Like someone said, maybe he had a bad cape like a big bald spot on his neck. I just didn't get why the cape mattered. I don't care that he shot this bull in December or that he's a native. I shot an elk last March in Pomeroy.

Some Tribal Members are kinda sketchy, that is true of most societies though.

It would be much more difficult killing a bull during our general season. So I'd say that's why they are 'considerate' and "wait" until we are done hunting.

Also, tribal hunters actually don't wait at all- they're out elk hunting in August and September before our general archery season opens.

I've never had it in my fridge long enough to hit an expiration date   Normally I prefer my eggnog straight but I had some this weekend that was mixed with fireball and lord have mercy that was a dangerous combo!

Yeah someone gave me one last year mixed with shaved ice. Called it a polar bear I think. It's good stuff by itself though.

I've killed elk during general season. I just hiked to a high point and waited for the pumpkins to chase the elk my way. Heck, I could've laid out a few elk during archery late season if I wanted to since the area I was in was flooded with elk and hunters but I was being considerate and letting those with a time limit go 1st. I sat back and watched  about a dozen guys chase elk amd I could've picked off half the elk as I had a vantage point and the elk were easy pickings as they were barely running and tired since they'd been fleeing for life the last couple days.

I'm considerate because of time constraints for those without my time limits otherwise I'd just do what I've done before and let others chase elk to me.
