How come nobody has sued for Wolves not being delisted, I don't know all the population numbers but my guess is that since they were let loose out of the Yellowstone habitat pens they haven't had any declining population numbers in any state. They are virtually immune to being killed out like like they were in the past, our avenues to control them aren't lethal enough.  :twocents:

"The lawsuit from the Center for Biological Diversity, Cascadia Wildlands and Oregon Wild claims the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife violated its own laws by failing to use the best available science and prematurely removing protections for Oregon’s 81 gray wolves."

Use of "best available science" is written into the Endangered Species Act and that sure as hell didn't stop the Jack Wagons from pushing their illegal agenda to start this whole mess.  So those very words should be used to debunk their whole program.

This is EXACTLY why I don't trust the pro-wolf crowd.

Every time a goal is met, they move the marker.  They are never satisfied.

If they kept their word, I could at least respect them and feel like we should work with them.    But it seems they only want one thing:   MORE.

Unfortunately this was inevitable. The same thing will happen in WA and CA when the BS quotas are met. The pro wolf group will lie cheat and steal to protect their precious wolves.

This will never happen in WA because those groups are on the WAG and they'd never do something underhanded like this. OR should have learned from our program. Anyone have a wolf I could hug?  :hello:

Don't we have a member on Hunt-Wa that is president or something high up at Cascadia Wildlands?
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Yes. I can't remember who it is, though. BBarnes knows if you PM him.

This So true . You only hear of the animal activist groups suing..Never hear of the sportsmen suing ..It is a joke !  I wish everyone would just give up hunting one year ..Every state ! And then lets see what happens next . This seriously needs to happen . Sportsmen need to take a stand like never before !  Much as I love to hunt I would do it in a heart beat if the majority would comply !

BowHunter; you are so correct that we as a group need to take an active position and with hold our license fees until we have a REAL voice again in these discussions. This has been brought up on this site before and it is amazing how many will not take such a stance.  Excuses like I only have so many hunting seasons, or let others do that so there will be less people in the woods for me.

If we in WA could do this for 1 or 2 seasons I would have to think it would get attention here and other States.  I would like to hear others weigh in on this as to whether they would or would not give up a year or two to have an impact.  You could always take the money you would spend here and go to a neighboring State.  I sure would be willing.

Actually that would be the wrong thing to do, that's exactly what the USFWS, WDFW, and environmentalist want, No Hunting! Look at WDFW's future plans for WA, how does a federal funded/environmental group/groups running your state game agency sound? That's why the wolves were introduced, to get rid of hunting etc., WDFW would just get their funding from the feds and environmental groups which is their future plans anyway.

Whatever the federal funding that WDFW received would not come close to making up for the total $$$ lost to the State. The financial impact on local business and others who support our outdoor endeavors goes far beyond licenses sales. I believe that is part of the bigger financial picture that the State does not realize. The environmental groups espouse the position that site seeing and hikers would bring in more $$$ than the hunting community. I do not believe that to be the case.

The USFWS sure didn't have much trouble stealing the money for the wolf introduction, I kind of think they could get what they needed if the end game was handed to them.

Hope WDFW don't see this article, you can bet they would be looking into these groups, for their WAG.
