Back to 5, 16" min and one over 22, 10 fish possession in any form. None over 22 would be better but that would be asking to much. Would like to see some sort of slot from mid march to mid may, say 16" to 18" to protect the spawners. That would help cut down on the snagging when there bunched up in the creeks and canals. 12" min is kinda stupid in my opinion. There is just no meat on them. They need to be in that 16" and over range, that's when they start to get some depth across there backs. Also they plant walleye back east to supplement the catch. That will never be an option in this state. They also change the limits and slots according to there surveys on a regular basis from what I have been told.  Again I don't see that happening here.

Good job Pete and Mat. They can be a tough fish to figure out

I've fished walleye growing up in WI , since the 70's. Slot limits work. And should probably shut down the season for a  months when they spawn too. No fishing/ possession of walleye  during the spawning season  in WI

My brother, nephew and I went out on Sat. Ended up with 10 all between 15-20 in. A little slow (and windy in the morning), but still a good day.
