My dad and I went out this morning and about 5 min into the first stand I heard a shot. I look over and see a coyote running at 60yd's so I get on it with the .338 win and right as I was going to shot dad shot again and the coyote turned and ran right to dad. He shot at the coyote again at about 10yd's and it turned and then he ended it

I was laughing so heard I forgot to switch the call over to coyote dist. once I stopped laughing I hit the button and about 6 coyotes around us let off. We sat there for a little bit then decided to leave, as we where standing there talking about/taking pics it a coyote started to challenge bark us but was in line with the houses behind us so we couldn't shot

.
We made two more stands and had a shot at one that sat down at 750yd's which I shot at with the .338 and heard a loud thud and then no coyote to be seen, we both think I hit it but when we went and looked there was nothing there

. On the way home I took us to a new spot and I grabbed my AR this time (I have to idea why:dunno:). We walk over a ridge and set up over looking a large valley, I started to call and about 10min in a coyote comes out of no where in the open. I move and got on it and let one fly and missed at 100yd's

, the coyote took off straight at us then disappeared in to a little cut, I set up and started the coyote dist and saw another one come running in and it stopped at 90yd's so I shot at it and missed again. When we got back to the truck I decide to see if it was the gun or me I shot at a gopher mound that was 200yd's away and hit dead center every time

. So the moral of the story is I can hit the broad side of a coyote.
This is how close the coyote was when dad finished it.

A picture of the coyote and what is now called mutt (oly upper/rra lower)
