Well, at least in Utah you should have a good odds of getting a long range opportunity. Good luck!

In a perfect world I'd manage to get one with my iron sighted 480 Ruger. That's a 60 yard and in weapon though. Those 400 grain bullets drop like a rock! :chuckle:

Is your .458 Arnold going to be your back up rifle? :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

That's just too much rifle for Elk. Sick & wrong!
I'll have to pull a trailer for all of my backup rifles! Between the 375 Ruger, 375 BME, 6.5 Badger, 338/375 Rife, 338/375 Striker, 458 Arnold, 300 Win Mag and the 480 Ruger I have so many "appropriate" elk calibers that it would fill the bed of the truck for them to all tag along!

This is far too light a caliber for elk, so please sell it to me at a tremendous discount to recup a little of your money.

Of course, I only extend this generous offer to you if you load up 300+ rounds of that load as part of the deal........   I don't fire form.
Wow, you guys are the best! Looking out for me like that shows your true character. :chuckle:

I couldn't help myself.

That is a really cool rifle, but I still have kids in college.

Just as accurate and a whole lot faster on a mag fed,  gas operated modern platform. What's not to like?

Last Remington 700 I picked up in 6.5x55 (Rem700 Classic) I had rechambered to 6.5-284. Some considered it a shame. I called it a improvement.

I'm not much of an AR fan, but that looks like it was a fun project. It's nice to see something different on the AR platform. Is anyone out there running this down to a 22 caliber? Please just tell me no, last thing I need to hear is some body is making a 22-250 equivalent work on a standard AR 15 platform.

Black Hole Weoponry does a 22-6.8 SPC. I've built several and several members here have them.

Well???????

Did you get a chance to shoot that AR today?

Unlike some of you slackers, I have a real job that keeps me busy. I don't just spend all my time shooting and trolling the Internet with my cohorts and starting fights.  :chuckle:

I won't get out again until Sunday at best. I'm not even sure about that at this point.

Ya know a few years back I would see guys packing these military weapons out hunting and just thought there was something wrong about that being a classic weatherby type of guy.

But damg I'm startin to think these guns are lookin sexy.  Hunt-wa is corrupting my purity.
