Thanks for putting those pictures up for me. I haven't been able to post pics for a few years. Amanda from Harts Lake did a fantastic job making the vest and the civets came from Bruce's trapline (it's not a total thread jack). Civet hide is a lot thinner than beaver so it is lighter and more comfortable to wear in out climate. The back of the vest is made of sheared goat skin.

What a miserable day yesterday. Sicker then a dog but still had to check those traps. Sprung them so I could stay home today.
Eventful none the less though. Caught this small female.
Here's the rest of the catch.

Caught this cat yesterday and kind of makes me think I might have turned her loose before. Turned one loose about three miles away of similar size. That one really acted normal and did not like me. This one acted as calm as can be, almost like I'm ready to go now. Where have you been? It's about time. Put down my camera but I should have got a shot of her just walking off slowly and nonchalantly.

Been taking a break from trapping for a while. Tuesday Winslow drove down and we went out and set a few traps in a spot I have caught a ton of otter in over the years. Right at the mouth of Ziegler Cr on Lake Quinault. Winslow took a nice picture of the lake. Maybe he will see this and post it.
Anyway I caught this otter there Thursday. Good sized male. I'm going to save it to skin at the Winter Rendezvous.

Here's a shot of the set. Doesn't look like much. The otter come out here. They have a trail from the lake to the creek and a toilet area just above this set. You can kind of see their spot where they enter the water. The trap is a swimthrough (out of sight in the water) but it is a one way set as the water drops off and the one end is down to deep.
