Im glad they are not here but what is keeping them from coming to Washington or even Oregon for that matter?

Distance. Give them some time & they'll probably get here.

How do they taste? Are they gamy at all or do they taste just like any other domestic farm raised pig? always wondered that. Nice looking pigs by the way.

Thanks. Wild pig tast s real good. I have a hard time explaining it. It doesnt tast like store noght pork. Its not gamey, but more flavorful, if you know what i mean. These pigs were old, so im having four hams for pulled pork, the rest is various types of sausage & jerky.

As far as guided hunts go, it's pretty cheap. I could have saved a bunch by only shooting one and if my buddy hadn't backed out at the last so I would have had someone to split the gas with. That being said, it's a fair amount of money. I do it once a year, and it's something that I save for over a few months so i can afford it.

Tim Lockwood has supported the WA Wild Sheep Foundation with a hog hunt donation two years running. Stand up dude in my book. Hopefully I will hunt with him in the near future
