Idaho OTC wilderness areas
« on: January 26, 2016, 10:27:13 AM »
Looking to head to Idaho this year for elk and mule deer if possible. My hunting partner and I are experienced backpack hunters and are looking for a wilderness area in Idaho that we can archery hunt OTC for elk and deer. If anybody could give me a hint on a wilderness to start looking at or an area that fits what I am describing that would be great, PM is fine or whatever works.
Thanks for anyone willing to help
Chris

Pull up a map.  Idaho is full of great wilderness.  Frank Church, River of no Return...you'll be able to hike to your hearts content.

I'll be doing the same next fall. Not sure which area yet, but would definitely be interested in sharing scouting info if we end up the same place. Probably only going to make it over once before the season.

The website is pretty user friendly. If you play around on it awhile there is quite a bit of information.
