Deer hunting near pullman

I'm new to Pullman and am looking for decent public deer hunting locations. I'm in college and really want to get back into hunting

Lots of options.  There are feel free to hunt areas, written permission areas, public land (especially along the snake river), and lots of farmers that will let you hunt if you knock on enough doors.  The only way to find the private property areas is to burn some gas, scout, knock on doors, etc.
