Need Gunsmith for Cheap .22 Rifle Trigger Job

Good Morning,

I'm looking for a gunsmith in the Seattle area who might be able improve the trigger in a very cheap Mossberg .22 rifle. There are no trigger kits available for this particular rifle. I think it's probably a no-brainer for a Smith, but I don't trust my abilities/skills to do it. I've checked out the other thread in this forum for gunsmiths but I feel kind of funny asking an accomplished, experienced riflemaker to dink with a cheapo rifle like this.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I dont have a recomendation however I can tell you that you tube and some fine grit sandpaper do wonders. I has a cheepie gun that had a horrible trigger that I polished up. It turned out great. There were 2 halves to my problem. 1 it was apparent that the gun had not had a deep clean. There was varnish built up in the firing mechinism. I snapped severl photos when taking appart soaked them in gasoline to dissolve the varnish. I then started with a popcicle stick and 120 grit the down to 600 making sure to keep edges crisp. No hard to do and if you have doubts just reassemble or tear down to take material off.
My cheepie looked like it was made with a dremmel it had so may deep machine marks. It jammed double fed and had soft primer strikes. Now it feed well and goes bang every time.

I used this video and did my own trigger on on my 10/22. Got the pull down to 5 lbs from 8lbs. If anything it will show you how everything works. It was very informative.

Im pretty amazed at what some basic polishing can accomplish in the weight and feel of a trigger. That hands on "fitting" is what makes the big price difference between a Kimber and most other brands of 1911. & mostly its just light sanding and polishing.
