Rancho Safari Cat Quivers

Anyone try one of these? I have been looking at getting my quiver off my bow and this looks to be a good solution.

I used on for my recurve, it was suitable for a day pack quiver combo on a day trip.  Worked good

I used the Rancho quiver back in the 80's while hunting Javelina in AZ.  There were so many rabbits down there I decided I needed to carry at least a dozen small game arrows along with my six big game broadheads.  The original Rancho Cat was able to do that easily.  But I did not like the way it carried and even the CATIII wasn't much of a day pack for anything more than a few bottles of water and candy bars.

I continued to use it as a small game and roving practice quiver for a few years until I got my first Chuck Adams hip quiver.  Once I found good hip quivers I sold all the Rancho Cats and never looked back.  Like Carp I now carry the Tarantula quivers when pulling from the hip.  They are great for blind hunting too!!

Thanks for the input, I was thinking of strapping it onto my pack. I keep my pack with me nearly all the time while I am out in the mountains of Utah hunting and thought it would be easier to carry than on my bow. I have a way of constantly knocking my quiver off. Even broke the last one. I saw Tom Miranda carrying one of these on his pack on TV and thought I would solicit the opinion of some real hunters here.

I use it & like it. It offers some versatility in carrying hour arrows

Do you wear it on your pack or by itself? I have been looking for any configuration that will keep the quiver off of my bow. Got any pics?

Depends on if im carryong a pack. If not i just put it over my shoulder

I have hunted with the cat quiver IV for years. I like the fanny pack a lot. very quiet and the I could reach the arrow easily. This is when I am hunting with my longbow.
I had a one arrow quiver on the bow and 6 in the cat quiver. When I started muzzleloader I still preferred the cat quiver fanny pack. It was the quiet for sneaking thru the sagebrush.

Here is a picture of my setup that I run with the smaller tarantula. I run the larger one just off my hip if I have one of my full size packs on my back. This little setup is just the right size for hunting and stalking around and arrows are easy to access.
