Anyone ever get drawn with 0 points?

No such thing- if its your first year putting in that means you have 1 point in the drawing.

Not according to my points I put in last year and was not drawn.  Said I had one point this year?

I do wish they had you make your selections and pay at the end of selection making.  That is how most normal systems in the world work.

Imagine if you paid for a concert ticket and then went to another website to book your seat and if you didn't do it you didn't get a seat, it wouldn't make any sense.  Why cant WDFW live in the real modern world?
you don't like it don't apply :cryriver: :cryriver: :cryriver:

Kind of my thought.  Takes me like 3 minutes online to buy and submit.  I dont see what people are complaining about.  Pretty simple really.

Yeah why strive to make things better and more customer based...I mean we should just stay at the status quo forever....

So this year you have 2 points.  They never list the current year's points.  When they say 0 you are applying with 1.

it adds a point every year you put in.  1st year 1point 2nd year 2 points.

The thing you have to remember is that you gain a point when you submit your application,.

Bought my license and application in the nick of time...... Got busy and forgot to apply  :bash:. Guess I'm going for points this year... :bash: :bash: . I turn 59 this month, must be getting old and forgetful....

Want some more bad news??
You won't get a point either. You have to apply for th "points option."
Great.... Another donation to the state... :bash: I better do the multi season thing now before I forget that too...

I wonder how often this happens?  Probably a lot.  What a stupid system.  It should all be one deal make your selections and then pay.  done.   :twocents:

 :yeah:

Or at the very least, if you purchase and forget to apply, your name automatically goes in as a point option.

I called WDFW and spoke with Anita, I confirmed that if you purchase the application and do not submit a hunt option or point only option, you still get the point for the application. It is automatically a point option as soon as you buy the application. If you forget to submit a hunt choice, you get the point. Pretty straight forward...

Also, per the website FAQ:

Do I build up one point for each hunt choice I select on my special permit application?

You earn one point for each application you buy. Whether you submit one hunt choice or four hunt choices, you still earn one point. You can buy one application for each category each year. If you draw a permit, your points in that category return to zero.

Incorrect information - you gain a point when you "buy" an application.

Am I the only one who has called WDFW to confirm this?  :dunno:

Well, what I meant is that you get the point before the drawing, not after. I've never bought an application and not submitted it. So I was only trying to confirm what others were saying- that you never have zero points in the drawing.
