« on: February 15, 2016, 01:39:35 AM »
Has any body got to play with the new hornady bullets. I have the 30 call and 7mm. Just kind kicking around to see how they are shooting in there guns. I have a 7mm mag and a 28 nosler I plan on putting the 162 through and have the 212 eld x for my rum

I assume your asking about the ELD-X.

I'm in the middle of load development with the 143 grain in my 264WM. I've only done one ladder test using Retumbo. My best result was at the 2950 node with 0.65 MOA. I have another ladder loaded up with H1000 and will shoot those soon. All my seating depths have been at 0.020 jump. I'm using a 1:8 twist 26" benchmark barrel.

Also working up a 300WSM load using the 200 grain. Getting 2850fps and 0.50 MOA using H4831SC. I haven't done any seating depth work yet so this may be a very good load in my rifle when done.

I have the 212 and 220 grain for my 300RUM using a 27" benchmark 9.3 twist. I haven't loaded anything yet but will start with H1000, Retumbo and Ramshot Magnum. I'll post up results later.

How many grains ? Seating depth ?

I loaded up some r 17 but haven't got to shoot them yet

I'd love to get a .5 moa load that speed with these 200 grainers

Wanted to give them a try but their bullet weight is higher than I want to shoot now. Liken the 123. A max Grendel

I've had pretty good luck with the 143 in my 6.5-284. Had great accuracy but haven't chronod or stretched past 220 yards yet

I took my 6.5 284 out over the weekend. Shooting 143 eld x at 2830. They shot great and grouped well out to the farthest (920 yards) that I shot them. Shot a group at 515 that was under 1/2 moa. Can't wait to see how they perform on animals!

a buddy just developed a load for his 30-06 using the 178 grain ELD-X and Reloader 26.  62 grains gave him 2900 fps and 0.766 3 shot group at 200 yards.  That is smoking fast for a 30-06 pushing a 178 grain bullet.  That comes out to 3,341 foot pounds at the muzzle.  Reloader 26 looks to be some pretty cool stuff.
