PHOTO OF THE MONTH - MARCH 2016 - Bird Mania
PLEASE READ:- This month's theme is to show off your favorite bird or bird success photo.
- YOUR IMAGE WILL HAVE TO BE DISQUALIFIED IF RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED. They are listed below
- Photos size restriction is now removed, however, if your photo does NOT upload you will need to resize it at/or below 800x800 (resizing info below).
CONTEST RULES!(new changes implemented for 2016)
- Monthly Theme - Photos will be disqualified that do not match the monthly theme or violate contest rules.
- No Photo Manipulation allowed - Only normal editing, cropping, sharpening, and small enhancements (black and white images are OK). Do not enter overly done HDR photos.
- Entries Submitted As-Is - Moderators will not enhance or alter images for you, you are responsible for the photo submitted.
- Current Photos Only - Photo must have been taken within the last calendar year.
- Who Can Enter - Any member may enter 1 photo that they have taken or if they are shown in the photo.
- One Entry Only - Do not enter more than 1 photo per member or both entries will be disqualified.
- Previously Entered WINNING Photos - are not eligible for entry in this months contest.
- Entry Deadline - Midnight on the last day of the month. You may change or edit your photo at any time up until that date.
- Waiting Period - The winner of this monthly contest is not eligible to enter next month's contest.
- Judging - Photos will be voted on by members, if there is a tie, the moderators will decide the winner.
- Preference - When voting, preference should be given for photos of Washington material.
- Winning Prize - The Winner must send a message (PM) to "Smossy's Girl" with your name and mailing address after winner is announced.
- All Photos become the property of Hunting-Washington upon contest entry and may be used at Hunting-Washington's discretion.
Photo Of The Year Contest - All monthly winners will be entered in the "Photo Of The Year Contest" hosted in January the following year once all that year's contests are completed.
How to Resize Photos if you have a Windows computer it only takes a minute:a. Copy the file of the photo you want to resize (so you don't resize the original).
b. Right click on your new photo file.
c. Mouse over "Open With".
d. Click "Paint".
e. From the menu at the top, in the "Image" section - click "Resize".
f. Click the radial next to "Pixels".
g. Change the largest number (either horizontal or vertical) to 800.
h. Click "OK".
i. Click "File" on the top menu and choose "Save".
