That's crazy, I wonder if all his animals are spread out like that...kinda cool if you have the space

They are for the most part

Is that what you "heard", or were you involved in "most" of these alleged poachings??

Sober up and read the entire conversation again in the morning 257.

Everything aside, do you have photos of his trophy room 257 ?

Pretty sure that isn't Reichert's place.

I don't know who the beer guy is.

I get the two of them mixed up, they both have several monster bulls, although the beer/beverage guy has not broken the law on his hunts as far as I know. :chuckle:

Has this reichert guy ever killed anything legally? Or does every hunt end up on the prosecutors desk?

Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

:yeah:  His recent actions do bring that into question.  There is reason to be skeptical.  What we have seen in the Blue Mountain event (a deliberate and systematic skirting of, or outright breaking of laws that lead to multiple charges of violation of State and federal laws) which resulted (after much legal wrangling) in a guilty plea.  Most people would make every effort extra vigilant (as most of us just do as a matter of course simply because we have our reputation at stake).

But what does Todd Reichert do?  He takes a high visibility trophy bull well within an Area that is unambiguously defined in the game regs as not legal to take ANY branched antler bull in.  Then he and his accomplices claim that he "notified the WDFW that he would be hunting in that Area."  He had every right to hunt in that Area legally for elk, but not for a branched antler bull (which is explicitly and unambiguously spelled out in the same Game Regs that the Raffle Tag he bought tickets for is published in).  It is not any business of WDFW if some "friend of elk" wants to support elk management and habitat by buying a Raffle Tag and is just fine taking a cow or TRUE spike.  If it is WDFW's business, what makes that so?  For the love of God man, the State does not have any business telling him that he cannot use that tag in any legal way he likes.  He doesn't have any more investment in the Tag he won the Raffle with than does someone's grandmother who bought a single chance in that Raffle and would be perfectly fine with a freezer full of meat.  Does he?  No he does not and it matters not if he bought no losing Raffle chances of ten thousand and one and ten thousand were losers (which, by definition they would have to be).

Boom, gone, done.  I have just laid out in one paragraph why this supposed phone call is not admissible as evidence, or even warrants consideration as a mitigating factor upon sentencing, in this case.

So what does that leave on the table as a tenable defense?  Not a thing that I can come up with that trumps the two pages I have PDFs of in the referenced thread above.

He is as stuck as a bug on fly paper and justice in this case cries out for prosecution.
