Starting to get the fishing bug again. I've been out to Flowing and lost lake a few times now (mostly trying to get used to launching the new little boat) and have caught quite a few dinks.   It was interesting to re-read this thread and to see bassquatch mention small rapalas because that is what I have had most my luck with.  Also learning the rubber bait techniques has been fun, and again caught some dinks doing that as well.

Look forward to going out again this weekend and if i get lucky I'll post pictures.

PS. It's surprising how many trout I have caught on that darn rapala too...

Keep at it! Flowing is a good jig lake. Try 1/4oz up to 1/2oz in black and blue or green colors, use a trailer that doesn't overpower the hook or jig.

Got a little closer to picture time at flowing lake this evening. Still got a ways to go but I'll get there.

You know what they say about dog butts and sunshine...

Nobody else has been out?

Hitting 3's for largies and haven't been out for smallies in a couple weeks. July things should settle in and summer patterns will be upon us

Wow, beautiful! I hit one of my all time favorite mill ponds last weekend. Didn't catch any whoppers but they were all consistent 1-2 pounders, very healthy, very fat and lots of them. They loved the crappie jig spinner with a little pumpkin colored crawdad jig 6-12 inches under water. It was super fun... I know, I should have taken pictures

Yep, that's a moose largie!! Shouldn't be considered out of reach though....several similar lakes to Bosworth that have produced near record to record toads!

My biggest concern is for that lake. That lake is SMALL and the parking very limited, not sure how all the attention now is going to affect it? My hope is the homeowners don't get fed up and petition to close it....

Nice fatty! How were the weeds? I've often heard there's a lot of good bass fishing to be done in the fall.

Wowee! What's your fall tactics if you don't mind me asking. I've always heard fall bassin' is good but most people are doing other things (like hunting) by then to take advantage of it.
