Need a good pack sleeping bag
« on: April 26, 2016, 07:16:18 PM »
I have good warm camping bags for when we truck camp, but I don't have anything small and lightweight. A buddy and I plan on dirt bike camping some this year and I need something more packable. I don't want to spend a ton but not looking for dirt cheap. I typically sleep warm, and kinda like to have some wiggle room. Asking too much?  What's your suggestions?

Thanks
Chris

Cheap and packable?  Try the surplus ECWS modular sleep system patrol bag.  I picked up a couple of the whole system for under $100 a few years back, but it seems they go up in price.  The patrol bag and bivvy sack pack down in a compression sack to smaller than a shoe box and are good to around 30-40 degree nights.

They have some here, but you can probably find cheaper by looking around.

look into a quilt, like those made by enlightened equipment. they seem goofy, but pack so small, are so light, good value, and versatile.
