my dad shoots a 8mm mag with 200's he only shoots 200 yards with a 4x scope it really runs into game. not my choice for longer shots . but if a guy knows his weapon they will all put them in there tracks . I will allso say I'm not a fan of big magums shooting nosler bullets at close range blow right through with out expansion . If you don't like the damage they do on game hold on the lung shot not the shoulder .
