Yep. Couple kills with them. 100% satisfied.  After the shot through bone and muscle mine look like you could hone them up and keep shooting.

This is a perfect example of how everyones experiences differ.

I HATE the montec's.  Didn't fly well, not as sharp, and the entire tip bent over when my buddy hit the spine on an elk.  It ran down to me, stopped and I smoked it.  However, I absolutely love the G-5 Striker.  None of us shoot the Montec anymore.  Garbage in my opinion.   :twocents:

Just like rifles and pet loads. You are right, good example. Fwiw, my shots have been on deer, not elk. Let us know how it goes.  You know....Radsav makes a decent broadhead....just saying.

Shot em, did not like em! Holes seal back up to easily, slick trick 4 blade or rage 2 2 blade leaves a wicked hole!

Just as someone else posted, my experience has not been good with the G5 Montec. The most consistent results I have are with a 100 grain 3 blade muzzy with the removable trocar tip. My last deer had an exit wound the size of a 50 cent piece. They also will consistently pass through the animal.

my experience was weak blood trails with the Montec.  Stryker was better, but out of a 3 pack, only two spun true.

I'm shooting Savoras now.  Spin true and EXTREMELY sharp!  VanDyke LPS 100's for me.

Thanks guys for all the info and suggestions.  I've been shooting Slick Trick's and have been pleased.  However, just changed my arrows (heavier weight) and was considering possibly changing broad heads as well......leaning towards staying with Slick Trick's!
