New Zealand trip
« on: May 09, 2016, 06:33:50 PM »
I am in New Zealand right now on my honeymoon and decided to start a thread on it. So far we have been having a blast. (Don't worry, I'll be going hunting in a few days so that's why I put it Here. We decided to take a week in queenstown before the hunt. This place is awesome!

We took a steamship cruise across lake waputipo to a sheep farm and they also had a small red deer herd. Fed some critters and saw a demonstration of sheep shearing for merino wool. The mountains around this place are amazing! Very tall and steep and rugged.

Yesterday we took a bus out to Milford sound for a boat cruise. The road out there was awesome. Saw a lot of deer and sheep farms in the country. The mountain road was pretty intense also. One section was a tunnel almost a mile long! The sound was like nothing I've ever seen! Sheer cliffs thousands of feet high!

I'll keep posting here as the trip continues. The wife takes much more and better pics so I'll get some of hers and post also.

No sister... Sorry Mac.  :chuckle:

This rock looked like a skull to me. Picture doesn't do it justice. The rocks in the mouth are basketball size or bigger!

And another pic of the tree in the first post for some size scale.

Glad to see Jamie is baiting your critters for the hunt :chuckle:
