Tranny shop recommendations

I'm looking for a good transmission shop in north king south snohomish county close to I-5. Have an '02 dodge that has been acting up recently.

I have heard good things about Kirkland Transmission.  I have never used them myself.

My tranny went out a week before elk season last year. Took it to Daves transmission in Lynnwood and he got it all fixed up for me. Only took like 5 days. Would totally recommend him. Honest and straight forward.

At approx 35 and 50 it feels like it's shifting back and forth between gears. It does this on about two second intervals, down up...down up. When I'm going 50 I can turn the overdrive off and that takes care of it.

A couple of years ago I had the governor replaced by the local dealer under a extended warranty that I bought with the truck. It solved it then and I'm thinking it's the same problem but I don't have the warranty and don't want to have to through this every couple years. Thinking if it isn't to hard to do I'd like to convert it to a manual.

Get the gov press solenoid upgrade kit from BD Diesel.  Easy DIY install.  Switches to the GM style.  Much more reliable. I garauntee if it was fixed under warranty you got the same plastic body solenoid as stock.  The GM model is steel or aluminum I beleive and won't flex causing the shuttle shift. 
Very common issue on the 47 and 48re trans from Dodge.
Manual swap isn't tough but finding a donor trans is next to impossible.  Trust me I've been looking :chuckle:
