Huge front fork
« on: February 01, 2009, 10:37:35 PM »
Here is a shed I picked up today. It's last year's horn, but oh well, it was still brown on the underside. I found a little three point 20 yards away from it but no other side to speak of. Damn. Anyways, the front fork is huge. Too bad the back fork doesn't match. That would be a hell of a deer.

Nice shed.  good shape for last years.  A little stain on the inside and blending and it'll be as good as this years.

Hopefully he made it through the season and I can find his browns soon. Who knows, without as much snow he might've wintered somewhere else.

Just put a tape to the horn. But remember this is rough, I'm no official scorer or anything. I came up with 70 0/8.

Mass Measurements: 4 5/8, 3 7/8, 4 3/8, 3 3/8
Eyeguard: 1 7/8
Point at the base below the eyeguard: 1 2/8
G2: 14 1/8
G3: 6 1/8
G4: 12 4/8
Main beam: 22 0/8

I think my math is right, but I'm an English major so who knows.

math = shooter
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
