Peep rotation - is it a problem?

My rather new string is having a problem with peep rotation.  It rotates 90 degrees from rest to full draw regardless of what position it is in at rest.  I wondered if the string might stretch out and somehow eliminate the problem over time but I have about 500 shots and still have the same problem.  Currently it is set 90 degrees off at rest so it rotates to a useable position during the shot.

Is this a problem?  Can't say I've really had this situation before and this string even has a 1 year warranty against peep rotation.  I have a return authorization but I'm not sure I want to send it back since it's possible they'll tell me the problem was with the installation or who knows what and simply send the same string back to me.  From experience I trust my bow shop and can't imagine they did anything wrong.  What would you do?

Do you just need to rotate your d loop so the peep rotates to be straight? Or even when you do this the peep rotates at full draw no matter where your d loop is set?

It rotates no matter where my D loop is set.

Your sure its a higher quality pre stretched string? If so I would take it back to your bow shop and have them fix whatever the issue is. A good quality string that is pre stretched you shouldn't have that issue at all. Lower quality strings you will. Lower quality strings just cant use a no tube peep nomatter how many shots you put through them a lot of the time.

adjusting your D loop will solve this issue.. Unfortunately you will have to adjust from time to time.

Is your d loop AND peep turned 90 degrees when at rest?

Shouldn't need to send it back any pro shot should be able to do a quick adjustment and have you back on track.

I got the expensive strings this time and the peep has rotated enough for me to have it adjusted twice. Stuff happens. You can always go to a rubber tube but it's just another thing to break on you when you need it.

I would start back at the pro shop and see if they can adjust it, then go the return route if they can't fix it.

No, my D loop is facing straight back where it should be.  But the peep is sitting 90 degrees off so it will come into position at full draw.

With your string at rest line your d loop up with your peep. That way when you draw it pulls your peep straight. This is what I was trying to get at in my original response. Your peep will never be perfectly straight back usually. You have to use your d loop to pull it straight .

Are your strings even shot in yet? Is your shop close enough to just have them help you out?
