There's definitely nice deer in those units for sure, I just wouldn't buy another key again.

I wouldn't buy a key either. Theres enough public land to hunt.

Since you have a weyco permit, and you want to hunt 437 or 448, my advice would be to hunt weyco land in those GMUs.

Ive read a little bit an heard that day lake might be worth taking a look at in 437. Might hold something considering its up in the middle of it.

Under your avatar it says you are in Snohomish, I had the permit last year and there is quite a bit of land off highway two why not head east?

I bought a key last year to utilize it in the 437. It was a waste. All the gates were wide open all year from the logging that was going on and the "local boys" had those places cleaned out. Hate to be negative but I would cut some firewood and sell it to recover your money you paid for the key.

Looked at cutting wood with the permit last year and the only places were way out past Gold Bar and even further east did not feel like driving that far for a load of firewood.

Might as well spend more time hunting close to home instead of driving.

Your best chance is going into GMU's 437 and 448 and do some scouting.  Get a feel for the areas and if you are going to take time off to hunt make it near the end of the season.
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

I grew up there and lets just say "it ain't what it used to be"....Poor recruitment due to Industrial timber practices of poisoning all of the available food. Which by the way is also the underlying cause of the mysterious hair loss and hoof rot. Now the WDFW steps in to help things out.... I mean sell tags..... by letting people kill the babies (no longer a two point restricted area)  that are standing in the road during the "rut".  Walk in.... the roads will be pounded flat and have fun it will be  pathetic in a year or two.
