It is a type of tumor.  Most likely benign.  But have it biopsied.  I have had dozens of labs and have seen it once before.  On my dog it was still there when she died of old age.

Our dog (lab mix) had something similar on his face I think. Is it fatty lump? Has it been there a while or started to grow in shape or size?

We had ours lasered off and did a biopsy. It was cancerous but had not metastasised. Feel free to PM me, not a cause for panic but some concern. When's his next checkup due? If its in the next month or two I wouldn't rush it

Home surgery fail? Good time for a check up and shots

You could try this, but I would still haul the dawg to a professional. Guess that's why I have my Dawg's physician personal number.

Its a Lipoma is a benign fatty lump. They are very common in middle-aged and older dogs, especially on labs.  You can have them removed, but you will get them again.  The biggest thing is you should get it aspirated to make sure it is not cancerous, most likely not but is nice to know.

Looks like an sebaceous adenoma. If it's growing I'd probably have it looked at

??Can't imagine how aspirating the lump is going to do anything for it??
